It boasts beautiful beaches along the Andaman Sea and the Bay of Bengal, as well as mountains ideal for trekking. Popular tourist attractions include the ancient city of Bagan with its thousands of temples and pagodas, the scenic Inle Lake with its floating villages and gardens, and Mandalay, the country’s second-largest city, with its numerous historical sites.
The climate of Myanmar is tropical monsoon, with three seasons: hot, rainy, and cool. The best time to visit is the cool season, from November to February, when temperatures are lower and humidity is less.
